Tragic Loss Strikes the ‘Pawn Stars’ Family: Adam Harrison Passes Away

In a sorrowful update from Las Vegas, Nevada, the Harrison family mourns the untimely passing of Adam Harrison, son of Rick Harrison, the renowned host of the popular television series “Pawn Stars.” Adam was 39 years old at the time of his death on January 19th.

Originally, the family’s representative, Laura Herlovich, disclosed to the public that Adam’s passing was attributed to a fentanyl overdose. Further details have since emerged, confirming that the cause of death was due to toxicity from both fentanyl and methamphetamine, as stated by a public information officer for Clark County, Nevada. The coroner/medical examiner of the county declared the death accidental.

In light of this tragedy, the Harrison family issued a statement expressing their profound grief and requesting privacy during this difficult period. Rick Harrison took to Instagram to honor his son, sharing a heartfelt photo of the two together, accompanied by a message expressing his eternal love for Adam.

The news of Adam’s death has drawn condolences from various figures, including Donald Trump Jr, who expressed his sympathy on Rick’s Instagram post, and YouTuber Dennis Roady, who wished the family peace during this challenging time.

Though Adam was not featured on “Pawn Stars,” his brother Corey is a familiar face to the show’s fans, often seen working alongside their father at the family’s pawn shop located on the Las Vegas strip. Corey paid homage to his brother through a touching social media post, sharing a childhood photo of them together from 1988 and expressing his everlasting love.

Adam is also survived by another brother, Jake, further extending the family’s circle of love and loss.

“Pawn Stars,” a staple of Las Vegas entertainment, showcases the day-to-day operations of the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop, established by Rick Harrison in 1989. The show, which debuted in July 2009, has become beloved for its unique blend of family dynamics, intriguing historical items, and the colorful personalities of those who run the shop, including Corey “Big Hoss” Harrison and Austin “Chumlee” Russell, Corey’s childhood friend.

The Harrison family has faced grief before; Rick’s father and a fan favorite, Richard Harrison, affectionately known as “The Old Man” on the show, passed away in June 2018 at the age of 77. As the family and fans alike remember Adam, the community reflects on the impact of the Harrison family’s legacy, both on and off the screen.
