Meet Lapsha the adorable Canadian borzoi with the HUGE nose
Discover Lapsha, the Canadian borzoi with an enormous snout whose everyday escapades on social media have become sensational among canine enthusiasts. The caretakers of this lanky, white dog comically track her "everyday challenges" of managing such an extended nose.

Attracting over 108,000 followers, Lapsha displays her incredibly extended snout - estimated at about 12 inches - along with her endearing, expressive eyes. Her family thinks she deserves to hold the global title for the longest nose - or as they playfully name it, her "snootapede."
Though charming, the substantial nose creates genuine daily issues for Lapsha, including awkwardness and untidiness.
Borzois are famous for their extended faces. The breed's name means "swift" in Russian, where people also call them wolfhounds. From nose to tail, Eris measures four-feet-nine-inches, with her nose extending one foot.

The American Kennel Club ranked Borzois 103rd in popularity among 192 dog breeds in 2018. Lily and Eris have not yet encountered another borzoi in person but stay hopeful.
While the exact length of her stretched snout remains unconfirmed, this extraordinary-nosed hound has plenty of time to secure an official world record, as borzois can live up to 15 years.
In a post explaining Lapsha's extended nose, her owners joked: "When relaxed, the snootapede begins to sag and the snout reaches peak droop. This represents true form. This often cannot be measured, similar to trying to gauge a changing mountain range. Most individuals only see casual form in snootapedes as it represents the typical shape they assume when out and about."
Another post stated: "Snout resting. It's essential to rest the snout on a cozy surface such as, but not restricted to: pillows, blankets, beds, humans and sofas. Here we see the snout resting calmly against a most favorable surface, the sofa. Snout resting can last from one minute to several hours."
