The world's most beautiful dog has been revealed according to science
Everyone believes their own dog is the most attractive creature ever, but researchers have used scientific methods to identify which breed is objectively the most beautiful. When thinking about pretty dogs, many people might picture Golden Retrievers or Poodles, yet surprisingly, neither of these popular breeds ranked in the top ten.

Beauty remains subjective, but the "golden ratio" provides a mathematical standard with specific measurements to evaluate aesthetic appeal. This same ratio has identified celebrities like Zendaya, Jodie Comer, Bella Hadid, and Ariana Grande as some of the world's most beautiful women.
For men, the golden ratio has highlighted Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Lucien Laviscount from "Emily In Paris," and Paul Mescal as the most handsome individuals.
Experts at money.co.uk applied this mathematical formula to evaluate common dog breeds. They measured how closely each breed's proportions match the golden ratio, with higher percentages indicating greater statistical beauty.
The ten most beautiful dog breeds according to their golden ratio percentages are:
10) Pembroke Welsh Corgi - 83.9 percent
9) Norfolk Terrier - 84.3 percent
8) Italian Greyhound - 84.9 percent
7) Tolling Retriever - 85.0 percent
6) Weimaraner - 85.6 percent
5) Welsh Terrier - 85.9 percent
4) Rhodesian Ridgeback - 86.0 percent
3) Border Collie - 86.7 percent
2) West Highland White Terrier - 87.5 percent
1) Cairn Terrier - 88.7 percent
The Shih Tzu, Bulldog, and Rottweiler scored among the least beautiful breeds according to this formula.

Pet insurance expert Salman Haqqi from money.co.uk noted: "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and regardless of the ranking position of a dog's breed, every dog no matter its shape or size should be appreciated."
"Proper dog care requires complete insurance coverage. This protection helps manage unexpected costs, allowing pet owners to enjoy time with their dogs without financial concerns."
