Social media users are going wild about reports that President Trump allegedly placed a giant 200-foot Jesus Christ statue on the White House grounds. This false story quickly spread through a viral TikTok video that gained over 700,000 views.

Fact Check: No Statue Was Installed

The clip, originally shared by TikTok user @pectacularsights, showed what looked like workers setting up an enormous Jesus Christ statue in front of the White House. The impressive images caused various reactions from viewers based on their political beliefs.

We can verify this claim is false. X (formerly Twitter) added a community note to one viral post stating: "This is untrue. According to the Live Webcam of the White House, no statue has been placed." They provided a link to the live camera feed showing the unaltered White House lawn.

Despite Trump's religious rhetoric, a president cannot simply install a 200-foot religious monument on federal property. The First Amendment's Establishment Clause prohibits the government from supporting or endorsing any specific religion. Even if Trump wanted to erect a massive Jesus statue, legal challenges would quickly block such efforts due to church-state separation laws.

Presidents can keep personal religious items in their private offices and living quarters, but a 200-foot Jesus statue overlooking Washington DC would not be permitted.

Although the story was quickly proven false, many Trump supporters still celebrated the fictional news. One X user wrote: "This 200 ft Jesus statue on the White House lawn is a powerful reminder that no matter who leads the nation Christ reigns forever."

Another commented: "This is why I trust and respect Donald Trump and Melania Trump. 200 foot Statue of Jesus Christ is being erected in the White House lawn. America worships Jesus Christ. Bring Jesus back into our lives. America will change to a nation that Honors and Glorifies Jesus Christ."

"When you fear God You fear NOTHING in this world. Only Jesus," another person wrote. "I'm delighted it's a magnificent statue rather than him crucified! Excellent selection," one individual stated. "Think about how many individuals will choke on their coffee when they notice this! This is Magnificent!!! Praise be to God!!!" someone else remarked.

Some users eventually discovered the truth. "Hello...I was deceived by this earlier today...when I didn't find additional information, I consulted Grok. It's fake and created with AI!" one comment revealed. "It would be fantastic if this were genuine but it's not. The left would be protesting loudly if it were," another person claimed.
