The FBI has created a special team to address 'domestic terrorism' and individuals attacking Tesla. Recent weeks have shown a rise in assaults on Tesla automobiles and showrooms following the relationship between Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Donald Trump, and the current administration.

On March 18, vandals defaced a Tesla dealership in Las Vegas, burning vehicles outside and painting the word 'resist' on the building. A newer incident occurred on March 24, when "incendiary devices" were discovered inside an Austin-based display room.

Austin police explained in a statement: "Officers found suspicious devices upon arrival and requested the APD Bomb Squad to examine them. The devices, confirmed as incendiary, were safely collected by police."

FBI Director Kash Patel stated after the Texas event: "The FBI has been looking into the growing violent actions against Tesla, and we have recently taken extra measures to strengthen and organize our response."

"This qualifies as domestic terrorism," Patel continued. "We will hunt down, capture, and prosecute those responsible."

Given the increased Tesla-related attacks, the FBI has formed a dedicated task force to handle the situation.

The FBI will collaborate with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to look into anti-Tesla attacks. FBI Assistant Director for Public Affairs Ben Williamson confirmed on Twitter: "We can verify: The FBI has established a Task Force with ATF to manage investigative efforts and stop violent Tesla attacks. Further details coming soon."

The New York Post reports that the bureau has received 48 reports this month connected to Tesla vehicles, dealerships and charging stations.

Authorities are examining at least seven of these cases together with local police departments. The task force was created after Trump warned he would send Tesla attackers to El Salvador's most notorious prison.

The President wrote on TruthSocial on March 21: "I cannot wait to see the disturbed terrorist criminals receive 20-year prison terms for their actions against Elon Musk and Tesla. Perhaps they should serve their sentences in El Salvador's prisons, which have recently become famous for their wonderful conditions!"
