Family members have condemned the 'pointless' attack while also honoring the teenager, with internet users quickly offering condolences, some finding solace in the teen's last Twitter update. Austin posted his final message on Twitter on March 31 around 11:46am, stating: "Faith that god has me and my effort will be rewarded."

One Twitter user commented: "What a beautiful soul. He left this world prematurely. Though we might not comprehend the timing, I believe God embraces him now."

"Praying for Fortitude and Bravery for the relatives and companions during this tremendously hard period..." added another person.

A third wrote: "May God stand beside you and protect your relatives and friends at this moment."

Austin's father, Jeff, has created a GoFundMe to 'assist his family in recovering'.

The GoFundMe states: "He was an intelligent young individual with promising prospects ahead. He led others effectively. His grin would illuminate any space. His enthusiasm for football was remarkable. Named team MVP last season while maintaining a 4.0 GPA.

"He anticipated advancing his athletic career. His devotion, persistence, guidance, and pure determination helped him achieve his desired success level. His twin brother, Hunter, competed alongside him.

"We will forever recall how he influenced others' lives. I will always love you, son. It's not farewell, just until later. God will care for us until we reunite. RIP. Love, Dad."

Frisco Independent School District released a statement: "Frisco ISD shares the sorrow of everyone affected by this devastating loss, and we extend our deepest sympathies to the victim's family, students, staff, and our community during this challenging time."

Austin reportedly attended an athletics event with his brother Hunter, who told WFAA that an argument started when his brother supposedly asked another student to exit the school's tent at the competition. He informed the news outlet: "I tried to turn around as quickly as possible, but I didn't witness the stabbing. It was truly meaningless.

I don't comprehend why anyone would harm another person over such a minor disagreement." Frisco police confirmed they have detained and filed charges against 17-year-old Karmelo Anthony. The department expressed: "The Frisco Police Department mourns with everyone impacted by this tragic loss and offers its sincerest sympathies to the victim's relatives, pupils, and faculty who are suffering incomprehensible anguish."
