Hillary Clinton has voiced her opinion on a recent error by the Trump administration concerning its classified military strategies. The Atlantic's editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg unexpectedly found himself included in a Signal message group. This chat contained high-ranking officials like National Security Adviser Mike Waltz, Vice-President JD Vance, and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. These senior figures discussed government plans to launch attacks on Yemen, which occurred on March 15 and resulted in more than 30 casualties, according to The Guardian.

The public learned about these strikes after they happened, but Goldberg received information two hours before. He had been mistakenly added to the discussion group days prior to the operation. Goldberg published a revealing article yesterday (March 24) outlining the incident and the intelligence he accessed. Reports indicate that Waltz or someone on his team accidentally included him in the private conversation—an incident President Trump has now addressed.

During a telephone conversation with NBC News, the President stated: "Michael Waltz has learned a lesson, and he's a good man." Trump added, "It was one of Michael's people on the phone. A staffer had [Goldberg's] number on there."

Clinton quickly reacted to this administrative blunder. She posted a screenshot of Goldberg's article on Twitter with an eye emoji, commenting: "You have got to be kidding me."

While Trump appears to have dismissed the significance of the incident, Goldberg raised an important concern that it was fortunate someone supporting the Houthis wasn't added instead. "I mean, at least it wasn't somebody who supported the Houthis, because they were actually handing out information that I believe could have endangered the lives of American service people who were involved in that operation," he explained to PBS.

Additionally, had a Houthi supporter received this information, they might have alerted the group about America's planned strikes, potentially compromising what White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt described as "highly successful and effective" operations.
