Netflix offers many shows, making nightly viewing choices hard. You could watch favorites like Stranger Things and Black Mirror, but finding a new series creates a special first-time experience.

People now talk about a hospital show focusing on staff at Maguire Medical Center, Miami's Level 1 trauma facility. The show Pulse features Willa Fitzgerald, Colin Woodell, Justina Machado, Chelsea Muirhead and Jack Bannon, showing life inside a busy emergency center.

Series creator Zoe Robyn explained to Tudum: "If you needed hospital care, you would want this facility. These professionals would give you the best treatment."

"We created a setting viewers understand. Many people find their main social group at work. Our research with doctors showed the medical field works similarly but with higher intensity. Medical professionals have jobs that take over their lives."

Some viewers demand a second season after watching all first-season episodes. One fan posted on Twitter: "#pulse finished and I demand a second season immediately @netflix - Danny/Xander are ruining my life."

One viewer described the drama as "incredibly binge-worthy," though not everyone agrees. The show holds a 50 percent Rotten Tomatoes score, with mixed critical reception.

Michelle Martin from London Evening Standard wrote: "Pulse becomes a weekend watch you'll forget by next week."
