Tesla top investor calls for Elon Musk to step down as CEO following $800,000,000,000 plunge since December
A Tesla investor has requested Elon Musk to resign as CEO for the benefit of the company in an unexpected statement. Elon Musk appears ubiquitous, particularly in American political circles. He has established a notable presence on the social platform he possesses, Twitter or 'X', but in recent months, Musk has occupied himself with endorsing and backing Donald Trump's administration. This might contribute to Tesla's current difficulties.
Ross Gerber, one of Tesla's initial investors, demanded Musk to resign as CEO while directing numerous criticisms at the billionaire. He claimed Musk's concentration on the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) for Trump's administration has diverted attention from the business. He also pointed out that Musk's increasingly polarizing public image has harmed the company.

Tesla's market value has decreased by over $800bn since December, and additionally, demonstrations and opposition against the brand have not helped their situation, with Gerber declaring the company faces a crisis.
During a Sky News interview, Gerber stated: "The company's reputation has just been destroyed by Elon Musk. Sales are plummeting so, yeah, it's a crisis. You literally can't sell the best product in the market place because the CEO is so divisive."
"It's time for somebody to run Tesla. The business has been neglected for too long. There are too many important things Tesla is doing, so either Elon should come back to Tesla and be the CEO of Tesla and give up his other jobs or he should focus on the government and keep doing what he is doing but find a suitable CEO of Tesla."
Gerber continued his harsh assessment: "I think Tesla needs a new CEO and I decided today I was going to start saying it and so this is the first show that I'm saying it on. It's time for somebody to run Tesla."
