Weezer bassist Scott Shriner recently gave an update about his wife after police shot and arrested her on attempted murder suspicions. Last Tuesday (April 8), police officers went to the Eagle Rock area following hit-and-run reports on the 134 Freeway. Reports indicate three suspects left the crash site on foot, entering a residential zone around 3:24pm PT. During their search, officers encountered Jillian Shriner, who allegedly stood outside her residence holding a handgun.

Police confirmed Jillian had no connection to the earlier vehicle collision but reportedly ignored multiple requests to lower her weapon. The author then allegedly aimed the gun at officers, who fired and hit her in the shoulder. Authorities later booked Jillian for attempted murder related to the police confrontation.

The 59-year-old musician spoke briefly outside their home on Thursday (April 10), telling reporters: "She's alright, thank you for asking." He also promoted his upcoming performance, adding: "See you at Coachella."

His remarks addressed concerns that Weezer might cancel their weekend performance at the Indio, California festival following the shocking incident. However, Shriner indicated normal operations would continue for the Los Angeles rock group, which he joined in 2001 as Mikey Welsh's replacement.

Jillian, who married Scott in 2005, received hospital treatment for a "non-threatening gunshot wound" before police arrested her. Law enforcement officials say they also found a nine-millimeter handgun at the home she shares with Scott and their two adopted children.

The situation began when a multi-vehicle hit-and-run created chaos in LA and triggered a large-scale search. Police arrested one man wearing only underwear, while two other men remain unfound. Witnesses told KTLA they saw at least one suspect leaving the crash area on foot.

LA police eventually caught the suspect near Waldo Place and Eagle Vista Drive intersection. He likely faces felony hit-and-run charges, according to CBS News. Reports indicate he had removed most clothing and attempted to blend into the neighborhood by swimming in a residential pool and watering plants.

A woman involved in the freeway collision went to the hospital with moderate injuries. The other two male suspects from the crash remain at large, according to police statements.
