Strategist who made bold prediction on when Trump's administration will 'collapse' claims it's now happened
James Carville, an 80-year-old political advisor known for his controversial opinions, recently stated his prediction about Donald Trump's administration falling apart has come true "faster than [he] thought possible." The veteran consultant shared his initial forecast just weeks after the Republican president returned to office on January 20.

In a conversation with Mediaite's Dan Abrams, Carville suggested Trump's downfall would result from declining approval ratings caused by the firing of thousands of government workers and several disputed executive orders.
During the interview, conducted shortly after Trump completed his first month back in power, Carville referenced a survey indicating Trump's approval had dropped from the low 50s to upper 30s. He predicted the administration would crumble "in less than 30 days" particularly regarding "public opinion."
Just one month later, Carville now claims this collapse has occurred. Speaking to CNN following news that Trump officials accidentally sent war plans to Atlantic reporter Jeffrey Goldberg through the Signal app, Carville admitted his earlier timeline was incorrect.

Referencing his previous statement that the "collapse" would happen by May 26 (Memorial Day), Carville added: "It's before April Fool's Day - which the Trump administration should make a national holiday because it perfectly represents who they are."
He further explained: "We see what's happening in the markets, we see what's happening with Signal-gate, we see what's happening everywhere around us. I believe the thing has collapsed."
While clearly expressing his viewpoint, Carville conceded: "Let's compromise and say 'it's collapsing' - I'll meet you halfway, but that's all I can offer."
When questioned about data suggesting Trump enjoys more popularity now than when re-elected, Carville responded: "Party ratings don't matter, elections matter."
Carville concluded by stating America was watching "fools running the country," adding: "Again, I expected to wait longer for the collapse, it happened even quicker than I could imagine."
