During the Hot Topics segment on Tuesday's show, Goldberg expressed concern about recent aircraft incidents, stating, "I have been panicking over all this insanity with these planes!" while struggling to say the acronym for the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
On Monday, a Delta Air Lines aircraft with 80 passengers traveling from Minneapolis turned upside down while touching down on a snow-covered runway at Toronto Pearson International Airport, with at least 18 people sustaining injuries, according to CNN.
She added, "And there's all kinds of stuff going on. Like, so let's start with the string of mass firings by Elon Musk's Dodge – Doege? Dogge? Doggy. Dogey. Has sparked a lot of chaos, confusion, and fear..."
Goldberg highlighted how Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy supports the dismissal of 400 Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) employees despite recent aircraft accidents, the outlet noted.
At the segment's conclusion, 'The View' co-host suggested Musk should be the next thing "cut" as she struggled to recall the term "government contract." She asked, "Elon has very many, what do you call it" before her fellow host Sunny Hostin helped by saying, "Government contracts."
She further questioned when she gave permission for the government to purchase Tesla Cybertrucks and partner with SpaceX. "I don't remember looking for an armored car. I don't remember asking for it, I don't know why I'm paying for it. I want to know when did I say, 'Hey, we need another agency next to NASA, so let's just' – So, when did we start paying for his stuff?" Goldberg demanded.
